Delverium Review & First Impressions
No Delverium review scores exist yet — the game launches into Early Access September 22, 2026. Pre-launch signals, the developer's record, and our plan.
Last updated:
There is no Delverium review score yet — the game is unreleased. As of September 15, 2026, one week before the Early Access launch, Steam user reviews do not exist and press reviews are not out. Anyone quoting a "review score" for Delverium today is inventing one. Here is what the pre-launch record actually shows, and how this page converts into a real review at launch.
Pre-launch signals: what we can honestly assess
| Signal | Status | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Steam user reviews | None — game unreleased | Steam store |
| Wishlist count | 80,000+ before launch | Press coverage (ComicBook) |
| Playable demo | Live, updated through Feb 2026 | Steam demo page |
| Community playtests | Multiple rounds completed | Official Steam news |
| Developer communication | Active on Steam forums and Discord | Steam community |
The wishlist number is the strongest commercial signal: 80,000+ wishlists for an indie debut is real demand, achieved largely through demo quality and word of mouth rather than marketing spend.
The developer's track record so far
Reviewing a studio's behavior before launch is fair game, and Sagestone Games' pattern is consistent:
- Demo-first development. The free demo has been public since February 2025 — a year and a half of playable honesty about what the game is.
- Playtest-driven iteration. Multiple community playtests, including the December 2025 multiplayer window, fed directly into the launch build.
- Feature delivery before charging. The February 2026 demo update added 8-player co-op and a world boss to a free product.
- Present on launch pricing. The FAQ commits to a rising-price EA model — unusual transparency (see price).
That is a trustworthy communication pattern. It is not a review — but it is evidence about how Early Access updates will be handled.
What the demo already tells you
The demo is the most honest "first impressions" that exists: roughly 1–2 hours of the real game, one dungeon, a world boss, and full 8-player co-op. If the loop hooks you there, the Early Access pitch — more biomes, deeper dungeons, NPC settlements — is the same flavor at scale. If it does not, you saved your money. Our gameplay overview breaks down how the loop fits together.
Our review plan for launch week
- Steam user score snapshot at 48 hours and 2 weeks post-launch
- Performance check against the minimum specs
- Co-op stress test: 8-player sessions, host stability
- Content depth audit: how much of the two-year EA roadmap is visible at launch
- Verdict with a version label, re-tested at each major EA update
Scores without a date and version label are noise — ours will carry both.
