Delverium Crossplay Status Explained

Delverium is PC-only on Steam, so crossplay doesn't apply yet. What that means for friends on other platforms, console plans, and what could change later.

Last updated:

Delverium has no crossplay — because it is only on one platform. The game is exclusive to PC via Steam, so every player is already in the same ecosystem. Crossplay (playing across PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC) only becomes a question if Sagestone Games ships console versions, and none have been announced.

What "no crossplay" means for your group

Practically, nothing is blocked: if your friends can run Delverium, they are on Steam, and you can invite them through standard co-op hosting. The questions worth asking before launch are different ones:

  1. Do all 8 of your players meet the specs? The minimum requirements are modest — an integrated-GPU laptop qualifies.
  2. Who hosts? Lobbies are host-based, so pick the friend with the most stable connection and schedule. If nobody can commit, read server hosting.

Could crossplay come later?

Only if the game leaves Steam. As of September 15, 2026:

  • Sagestone Games has not announced any console version.
  • The developer has not ruled consoles out publicly either — there is simply no confirmed information. Anyone claiming a PS5 or Xbox date is speculating.
  • If console versions ever ship, crossplay would be a separate technical and policy decision. Treat it as unconfirmed in both directions.

LAN play

LAN / system-link play is listed as not supported by co-op database Co-Optimus. For offline LAN-style sessions the practical substitute is split-screen — four players on one PC. This is a single secondary source, so we flag it as to be verified in the launch build.

Crossplay FAQ

My friend has a Steam Deck and I have a gaming PC — can we play? Yes. Steam Deck is a Steam platform; you are both in the same ecosystem and co-op invites work exactly as between two PCs.

If consoles release later, will older saves carry? Purely hypothetical — no console version is announced. No save-transfer statements exist. Unconfirmed in every direction.

Is there any way to play with a PlayStation/Xbox friend today? No. They cannot own or run Delverium on those platforms. If they have a PC or Steam Deck capable of the minimum specs, that is the only route.

Does "Steam exclusive" mean the Epic Games Store version would support crossplay? Speculation without basis — no second store version exists or has been discussed publicly. Crossplay questions are moot until any second platform exists.
