Delverium Crafting Recipes Reference
Delverium crafting explained: five recipe families — food, tools, weapons, armor, building materials — with nested crafting chains and a recipe framework.
Last updated:
Delverium crafting is organized into five recipe families: food, tools, weapons, armor, and building materials. Crafting is how a classless game like Delverium delivers progression — every upgrade to your character is an object you made. This page is the reference framework; exact recipe values get filled in from live play at Early Access launch.
The five crafting families
| Family | What it covers | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Food | Cooked meals, preserved supplies | Sustains exploration and farming loop |
| Tools | Pickaxes, axes, and gatherers | Unlocks faster, deeper resource harvesting |
| Weapons | Melee and ranged options | Your combat power (see best weapons) |
| Armor | Protective gear sets | Defines your survivability and build (see builds) |
| Building materials | Structural blocks and stations | Base building and crafting stations themselves |
Craft is one of the five pillars on the game's own store description — Explore, Build, Farm, Craft, Fight — and the families above come from community documentation of the demo. Treat the family structure as solid and the individual numbers as pending verification.
Crafting is nested: build the middle pieces
Delverium recipes are nested — advanced items require crafted intermediate components, not just raw resources. The practical consequence:
- Raw resources (wood, ore, fiber) come from gathering.
- Intermediate pieces (planks, ingots, cloth) come from first-tier recipes.
- Final items (weapons, stations, buildings) combine intermediates.
The classic beginner mistake is hunting a final recipe's raw materials when the actual bottleneck is an intermediate you have not crafted yet. When a recipe shows a crafted item as an ingredient, go make that first.
Farming feeds the food family
Crafting does not stand alone — the farming loop (till, plant, water, harvest, cook) is the renewable engine behind the food family. Cooked meals beat raw ingredients for efficiency (community-reported; exact buffs unconfirmed). Animal breeding adds another renewable supply line.
A note on recipe databases
Until Early Access stabilizes, every "complete recipe list" on the internet — including fan wikis — is provisional. We deliberately publish no invented numbers here. At launch we will fill in verified tables:
- Tools: tiers and material costs — pending live verification
- Weapons: damage values per tier — pending live verification
- Armor: defense values per set — pending live verification
- Food: effects and durations — pending live verification
- Building materials: station requirements — pending live verification
Where crafting fits in your progression
Crafting is stage five in our beginner progression order — after shelter and farming, before dungeons. Craft toward your chosen role (melee or ranged) rather than spreading evenly; see builds for how roles work in a classless game.
